
Fairfield Memorial Hospital has named Japheth Rush, a dedicated member of the Security Department, as its 2025 Employee of the Year. The annual award recognizes an individual who exemplifies dedication to patient safety, exceptional customer service, a strong work ethic, and kindness toward patients, visitors, and colleagues.
Rush was selected from a group of standout 2025 Employee of the Month recipients, each honored for their professionalism, teamwork, and commitment to exceptional care. Nominees included staff from departments across the hospital, such as Information Technology, Nursing, Diagnostic Imaging, Security, Senior Life Solutions, Marketing, Laboratory, and the Emergency Department.

Known for his professionalism and dependability, Japheth Rush has made a lasting impact at FMH through his calm presence, attention to detail, and willingness to help others. He is widely respected for his commitment to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment, going above and beyond his daily responsibilities to ensure the well-being of everyone at the hospital.
FMH CEO Andy Flemer praised Rush, saying, “Japheth exemplifies what we all strive for at FMH—to consistently demonstrate dedication to patient safety, exceptional customer service, a strong work ethic, and kindness toward patients, visitors, and fellow employees.”
As part of this prestigious honor, Rush received a plaque, a $300 check, and a coveted covered parking space near the hospital’s rear employee entrance for the next year.
