Frankfort Community Unit School District #168 has placed Frankfort Community High School Principal Aaron Hill on administrative leave while the district conducts an internal investigation, according to a statement sent to families.
Superintendent Matt Donkin said the district is aware of reports regarding Hill and is actively responding. The district said Hill’s leave will remain in place pending the outcome of the investigation.
In the message to the Frankfort CUSD #168 community, Donkin acknowledged some families may have heard about the situation from students or through rumors, while others may not have been aware. He said the district decided to address the matter publicly to keep families as informed as possible.
“As you know, the district is extremely limited in the information we can release about any specific personnel matter,” Donkin wrote. He also stated the situation “is not related to student safety or students in general.”
District officials said student safety and maintaining an orderly learning environment remain the top priorities, and that additional information will be shared if and when it becomes appropriate.
No details about the reports or the nature of the investigation were released.
