WEST FRANKFORT HIGH SCHOOL PRINCIPAL ARRESTED ON AGGRAVATED BATTERY CHARGE

An update to a story we previously reported yesterday: 53-year-old Aaron Hill, principal of West Frankfort Community High School, has been arrested in Franklin County on one charge of aggravated battery causing great bodily harm or permanent disability or disfigurement.

According to jail records, Hill was taken into custody on Wednesday. West Frankfort Superintendent Matt Donkin confirmed that the investigation is related to an incident that occurred outside of school and does not involve any students in the district.

Hill is currently on administrative leave from his position at the high school.
