WAYNE COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT ISSUES SENTENCES IN MULTIPLE CASES THURSDAY

The Wayne County Circuit Court handed down sentences in several cases Thursday.

Ronald White, 47, of Bluford, pled guilty to aggravated DUI and was sentenced to two years probation and ordered to pay court costs. White will also serve 10 days of home confinement with GPS monitoring. He received a 180-day stayed sentence in the Wayne County Jail, which will be imposed if he violates probation. As part of a plea agreement, one charge and four additional cases were dismissed.

Shawn Webb, 37, of Fairfield, pled guilty to unlawful possession of methamphetamine. He was sentenced to two years probation, must pay court costs, and received a stayed sentence of 180 days in jail which will be imposed if he violates probation.

Christopher Tharp, 19, of Owenton, Kentucky, pled guilty to unlawful possession of a stolen vehicle. Judge Matt Vaughn sentenced him to three years in the Illinois Department of Corrections, with court costs and an order to complete a substance abuse program. Tharp was also ordered to pay $20 in restitution to the Office of Statewide Pretrial Services. One count and one case were dismissed as part of a plea agreement.

Sophia Meserole, 20, of Olney, pled guilty to disorderly conduct and was placed on two years probation with court costs. Three additional counts were dismissed under the plea deal.

Amy Manring, 50, of Sims, pled guilty to harassment by telephone and was sentenced to one year court supervision plus court costs.

Andrew Gregory, 30, of Wayne City, pled guilty to domestic battery. He received one year probation, must pay court costs, complete anger management counseling, and was credited with three days already served in jail. Gregory is also required to take all prescribed medications as directed. One count was dismissed as part of the plea agreement.

David Barker, 38, of Kankakee, pled guilty to aggravated DUI and was sentenced to 24 months probation and court costs. He received a stayed sentence of 30 days in jail, which will be imposed if he violates probation. Barker was given credit for 12 days already served. Four other counts in his case were dismissed under the plea agreement.
