A southern Illinois high school principal has been released from jail with a preliminary hearing set.
Online court records say Aaron Hill was arrested on an aggravated battery charge and was released from custody Friday, with a preliminary hearing set for March 18th.
Hill was extradited to the Williamson County Jail Thursday, according to Franklin County Sheriff Kyle Bacon, after being placed on administrative leave Tuesday, according to Frankfort Community Unit School District No. 168. The school district confirmed in a statement Wednesday that the charge is related to an incident that happened outside of school.
