The Fairfield City Council will meet for its regular monthly meeting tonight at 6:00pm in the Council Chambers at 109 NE 2nd Street. The meeting agenda includes a range of significant items, including the purchase and financing of a new fire truck, possible sale of the city’s existing ladder truck, and potential changes to guidelines governing the local business tax district.
Among the routine business items, the Council is expected to vote on two resolutions approving permanent public utility easement agreements—one for electric and one for gas utilities—with the Frontier Community College Foundation.
Other agenda items include a recreation fund request, and a street closing request for Saturday, April 11th, to accommodate the Fairfield Community High School prom.
The meeting will feature a financial report, time for public comments, and may conclude with an executive session to discuss confidential matters.
