The Wayne County Raccoon Roundup has announced its second collection date, scheduled for Thursday, February 12th. from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Participants can bring raccoon tails to the Wayne County Farm Bureau office, located at 301 E Court Street in Fairfield.
Members will be paid $3.00 per tail, with a maximum of 50 tails allowed for this collection date. Memberships cannot be transferred or proxied to another individual for this program, and members must present a valid Illinois hunting or trapping license. Membership status will be verified at the time of drop-off.
All tails must be harvested in accordance with Illinois laws and hunting and trapping regulations.
