The Wayne County Board will hold its regular monthly meeting tonight (Thursday) at 7:00 PM. The meeting will take place in the upstairs courtroom of the Wayne County Courthouse.
Public comment is welcomed, with scheduled guest appearances by Kevin Kern representing Snedeker/Hope Trust and Ethan Keyser from the CEO Program.
During the chairman’s comments, the Wayne Fire Protection District #1 will request the appointment of Donnie Miller to a three-year term on the Board of Trustees.
The agenda includes reports from various county offices. The Highway Department will present several resolutions and agreements, including the appropriation of funds and engineering contracts for multiple county highway projects. Other offices scheduled to report include the State’s Attorney, Circuit Clerk, Sheriff, County Clerk, Treasurer, Supervisor of Assessments, Coroner, and Health Department.
New business may include discussion regarding the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) if there are any updates.
The meeting will also feature committee reports covering a range of topics such as finance, law enforcement, emergency management, animal control, road and bridge maintenance, insurance, building and grounds, economic development, rules and policy, and the liquor commission.
The board will conclude with any additional business before adjourning for the evening.
