TheFairfield Grade School Board of Education will hold its regular meeting on Tuesday, February 17th at the Center Street School Boardroom. The agenda features a range of important topics, including financial reports, staffing changes, and approval of the district’s FY27 calendar.
The meeting will begin with public comment on non-agenda items, followed by approval of minutes from the January 20th sessions. Financial reports—including the treasurer’s report, payroll, and monthly bills—will be presented and reviewed.
Superintendent updates will cover revenue and expenses, food service, transportation, the proposed FY27 calendar, building updates, and administrative job descriptions. The board will take action on both the FY27 calendar and the updated job descriptions.
Principals from Center Street School and North Side School will give their reports. Board members will also have the opportunity to make requests or share reports.
A closed session is scheduled to discuss personnel matters, labor relations, negotiations, litigation, public office vacancies, and student discipline. Action items following the closed session include decisions on the resignation of a bus driver, the resignation and employment of the North Side principal, and administrative contracts.
The meeting will conclude with informational items and adjournment. The board is expected to make several key decisions impacting school operations and leadership for the upcoming academic year.
