The campaign for Illinois gubernatorial candidate Sheriff James Mendrick has announced a public meet-and-greet event in Mount Carmel. Mendrick, who is currently serving as sheriff, will meet with area residents at Rosati’s Pizza, located at 411 W. 9th Street, on Sunday, March 1, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The event is open to the public and designed to give community members a chance to meet Sheriff Mendrick, ask questions, and learn more about his campaign platform and priorities. Attendees can also look forward to door prizes and children’s crafts during the gathering.
Campaign materials highlight that the event is part of Mendrick’s outreach to residents in Wabash, Edwards, Lawrence, Richland, and White counties, reflecting his focus on southeastern Illinois communities.
