By Mark Wells Feb 18, 2026 | 5:55 AM

North Wayne Community Unit School District #200 will hold its regular board meeting tonight (Wedenesday) at 6 p.m. at Cisne Middle School.

Items include approval of minutes from the January 21st meeting, personal leave and dock day requests, equipment and grounds use for the Cisne Reunion, FMLA leave requests, acceptance of several staff resignations effective at the end of the school year, and acknowledgment of a $500 donation to Cisne FFA from LL Parks Livestock.

Financial matters will be addressed, including payment of bills, the treasurer’s report, and an income review. The board will also hear communications, receive visitor comments, and get a superintendent’s report.

Committee updates will focus on policy. Under new business, the board will discuss and consider action on CMS and CHS graduation dates, an intent to retire letter from Darla Gindlesberger (retiring after the 2028-29 school year), possible amendments to the FY26 and FY27 calendars, a curriculum review, and adoption of PRESS Plus policy update edition 120.

An executive session may be held to discuss personnel matters, student discipline, and other district openings. The board will then consider action on rehiring non-tenured teachers and principals for the 2026-27 school year, as well as the CHS Assistant Baseball position.
