Cookie lovers across Southern Illinois are invited to join the celebration of National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend happening this weekend. This annual event is a highlight for Girl Scouts nationwide, giving the girls a chance to showcase their entrepreneurial spirit and promote the iconic Girl Scout Cookie Program.
This year’s cookie lineup welcomes a new treat: Exploremores, a sandwich cookie inspired by rocky road ice cream, offering another delicious way for consumers to support Girl Scouts in their communities. Every purchase helps local troops and councils fund life-changing experiences, from summer camps and educational field trips to STEM activities and community service projects.
All proceeds from the program stay local, empowering Girl Scouts and supporting year-round learning and leadership opportunities. In addition to buying cookies for yourself, you can participate in the Bake It Forward program by purchasing cookies to be donated to H.E.R.O.E.S. Care, aiding military personnel and their families.
