The team said it was committed to finishing the remaining site-specific due diligence to support their vision to build a world-class stadium near the Wolf Lake area in Hammond.

After Indiana lawmakers advanced legislation that would help the team build a stadium in Hammond, Indiana yesterday, the team released a statement calling the bill’s passage the most meaningful step forward in their stadium planning efforts to date. Pritzker said that it came to a surprise to him, considering his office had very positive discussions with the Bears on Wednesday and mostly agreed on a bill that would move forward. The governor said the team’s statement isn’t confirmation that they are moving to Indiana. He also reiterated that the state of Illinois isn’t going to build the Bears a new stadium with taxpayer dollars.

(Collinsville, IL) — Illinois leaders are celebrating the construction of a new environmental testing laboratory in Collinsville. Governor Pritzker took part in a ribbon cutting ceremony for Teklab’s new state-of-the-art facility. The company built the lab to meet the growing demand for its environmental analytical services. The ten-million-dollar project creates 40 new full-time jobs for the region while retaining nearly 100 positions.
