The Illinois State Police (ISP) Troop 10 is investigating a deadly single-vehicle crash which occurred late Friday morning in Johnson County.
According to police, the crash took place at approximately 11:43 a.m. on February 20, 2026, on U.S. Route 45 near Ballowe Church Road.
Upon arriving at the scene, emergency responders confirmed that the crash involved only one vehicle. One person in the vehicle was pronounced dead. The identity of the person is being withheld at this time pending notification of next of kin.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by Illinois State Police.
