(Indianapolis, IN) — The next stage in the NFL offseason is here. The league’s future stars gather in Indianapolis today (Monday) for the Scouting Combine at Lucas Oil Stadium. Prospects will participate in several drills in an effort to increase their draft stock. Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza won’t take part in any exercises and will instead focus on the interview process before throwing at his Pro Day. The combine is also a time where trade rumors begin to ramp up, which could include the Las Vegas Raiders potentially moving on from defensive end Maxx Crosby. The combine wraps up next Monday and Round One of the NFL Draft begins on April 23rd.

(Milan) — Team USA closed out the 2026 Winter Games in Milan with a historic victory. The US men’s ice hockey team won gold for the first time since the Miracle on Ice in 1980 after taking down Canada 2-1 in overtime. Jack Hughes scored the game-winning goal in the extra period. Connor Hellebuyck was a stud between the pipes stopping 41 of the shots he faced for the Stars and Stripes. Matt Boldy opened the scoring for the US in the first period of the game. It’s the third time in Olympic hockey history that the American men are on top of the podium. In the end the US finished the Olympics with the second-highest total medal count with 33, and also earned the second-most gold medals with 12. Norway paced the rest of the nations with 18 gold and 41 total medals.

(Los Angeles, CA) — The Celtics extended their winning streak after crushing the Lakers 111-89 from Los Angeles. Jaylen Brown led all scorers with 32 points. Payton Pritchard erupted for 30 points on 10-of-14 shooting off the bench as Boston rolled to its third straight victory. Luka Doncic [[ DON-chitch ]] sunk 25 points for LA, which had a two-game winning streak come to an end.

(Chicago, IL) — Karl-Anthony Towns and the New York Knicks knocked off the Chicago Bulls 105-99 in the Windy City. Towns posted a double-double with 28 points and 11 rebounds to lift the Knicks to a second straight win. Jalen Brunson contributed 19 points and nine assists as New York improved to 37-and-21. Matas Buzelis [[ MAH-tiss boo-ZEL-iss ]] paced Chicago with 15 points in the losing effort. The Bulls have lost nine straight games to sit at 24-and-34.

(Pittsburgh, PA) — The Pirates are mourning the loss of a World Series hero. Bill Mazeroski died on Friday. He was 89. The second baseman slugged a walk-off home run in Game Seven to clinch the title in 1960. Mazeroski was known for his defense after winning eight Gold Gloves over his 17-year career with Pittsburgh. He also earned 10 All-Star game selections and was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2001.

(Pacific Palisades, CA) – Jacob Bridgeman hung on to win The Genesis Invitational, his first career PGA Tour victory. Bridgeman shot a one-over 72 on Sunday to finish 18-under par for the tournament. Kurt Kitayama and Rory McIlroy finished one shot behind Bridgeman in a tie for second place, while Adam Scott and Aldrich Potgieter rounded out the top five.

(Hampton, GA) — Tyler Reddick is on a heater to open the NASCAR Cup Series regular season. The driver of the Number-45 car won a wild overtime period to take home the checkered flag in the Autotrader 400 from Hampton, Georgia. He’s finished first in both races to start the season after earning a Daytona 500 victory the previous weekend. The field heads to Austin for the DuraMax Grand Prix next Sunday.
