Barbara Jean Lack, 89, of Omaha

Barbara Jean Lack, 89, passed away on February 24, 2026 at Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado, IL.  She was born March 25, 1936 in Omaha, IL the daughter of Harry and Margaret Miner. She graduated from Norris City High School in 1954.

Barbara married Glen Lack on February 12, 1954. They raised two daughters together. Glenda (Ron) O’Neal of Rio Verde, AZ and Brenda Lack of Carmi.  She has one grandson, her light in life, Bryke O’Neal, also of Carmi.

Barbara is preceded in death by her siblings, Carl, Claude and Charles Miner, Evelyn Gross, Patsy Artman, and Maude Bunting. She had a strong love of family and is survived by her daughters, son-in-law, grandson, and David Garner. Along with sisters-in-law, Marthan Miner and Linda Zentner, brother-in-law, Vearl and Anne Lack and wonderful nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Barbara was the oldest living member of Omaha General Baptist Church in Omaha, IL.

Funeral services for Barbara Lack will be conducted at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, February 28, 2026 at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi.  Burial will be in White County Memorial Garden in Carmi.  Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until service time at noon.  Memorial contributions may be made in Barbara’s memory to Omaha General Baptist Church.
