The Illinois Soybean Association (ISA) is seeking candidates to apply for a vacant board seat representing District 16, which encompasses the counties of Clay, Richland, Lawrence, Wayne, Edwards, White, and Wabash.
The ISA board consists of 18 district directors and six at-large directors. Board members serve three-year terms and are eligible to serve up to three terms in total.
To be eligible for the position, candidates must be residents of Illinois living within District 16, be of legal voting age, and actively produce soybeans in Illinois. Additionally, candidates must be subject to the soybean assessment in the district and have the first right of ownership in soybeans for which payment is received.
Applications for the vacant seat must be submitted electronically no later than Tuesday, March 10th.
