Nell and Donald Harrawood passed away in El Paso, Texas. Nell passed away August 21, 2025 and Donald passed away December 1, 2023. Nell was a daughter of Moses and Julia Mayberry. Donald was a son of Daye and Florence Harrawood. Nell and Donald were married July 4, 1950 in McLeansboro, IL.
Nell was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, gardening and sewing.
Donald enjoyed his Koi Ponds and smoking and grilling food. They were Protestant by faith. Donald served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors of Nell and Donald include their daughter Trina Schafer and husband Howard, El Paso, Texas and a son Eric Harrawood and wife Imelda, El Paso, Texas. Also surviving are grandchildren Chloe Schafer, Orlando, Florida, Christa Schafer, Miami, Florida, Chiara Schafer, Miami, Florida and Erika Harrawood, Dallas, Texas.
Nell and Donald are preceded in death by their parents, spouses and a grandson Alan Ray Harrawood.
A funeral service for Nell and Donald Harrawood will be held at 11:00 a.m., March 7, 2026 at Dale Community Church, Dale, IL. with Pastor Rodney Brock officiating. A burial of ashes will follow at Digby Hill Cemetery, Dale, IL. The church doors will be open at 10:30 a.m.
Military Honors will be accorded by the Military Honor Guard and the American Legion Post 106, McLeansboro, IL.
