The Chicago Bulls will try to get on a winning streak when they host the Oklahoma City Thunder at United Center tonight. The Bulls just snapped an 11-game losing streak by earning a 120-97 home win over the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday. Chicago is in 12th place in the Eastern Conference at 25-and-36. Tonight’s game tips off at 7:00PM.

The Indiana Pacers are on the road for their next four games. Indiana begins the trip when it visits the LA Clippers tomorrow. The Pacers have dropped each of their last six.

The Chicago Blackhawks wrap up their five-game road trip with a game against the Winnipeg Jets at Canada Life Center tonight. The Hawks are coming off a 4-0 win over the Utah Mammoth on Sunday. Chicago is in seventh place in the Central Division with 55 points. Tonight’s contest gets underway at 7:00PM.

Blackhawks Trade Away Murphy

The Chicago Blackhawks are moving on from one of their defensemen. The team traded blue-liner Connor Murphy to the Edmonton Oilers yesterday. Chicago received a 2028 second-round pick to complete the trade, and the team will retain half of Murphy’s remaining salary. The 32-year-old had four goals and nine assists in 60 games with the Blackhawks this season.

The St. Louis Cardinals came through in the clutch during a 3-2 Spring Training win over the Miami Marlins at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium. Colton Ledbetter hit a walk-off single in the bottom of the ninth. Andre Pallante struck out two and allowed one run on three hits in three innings. The Cardinals improved to 6-and-4 in exhibition play. They take on the Pirates on Thursday.

Jameson Taillon allowed six runs on five hits in two-and-a-third innings, while Kade Snell homered in the losing effort. The Northsiders are 4-and-7 in exhibition play. Cade Horton starts for Chicago against Team Italy this afternoon.

They send Sean Newcomb to the mound against the Padres today.

(Champaign, IL) — The number-11 Illinois Fighting Illini aim to avoid a third loss in a row when they host Oregon at State Farm Center tonight. The Illini are coming off an 84-70 loss to number-three Michigan at home on Friday. Illinois is 13-and-5 in Big Ten play and 22-and-7 overall. (Undated) — The Texans are adding a proven playmaker to their offense by acquiring running back David Montgomery in a trade with the Detroit Lions. ESPN is reporting that Houston is adding Montgomery in exchange for offensive lineman Juice Scruggs, a 2026 fourth-round pick and a 2027 seventh-round selection. Montgomery had 2,506 rushing yards and 33 touchdowns in three seasons with the Lions. Since being selected by the Chicago Bears in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft, the 28-year-old is one of only five players to reach at least 6,000 rushing yards and 50 rushing TDs.

(Landover, MD) — The Commanders will release cornerback Marshon Lattimore before the start of the league year, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Monday. Lattimore played 11 games for the team after being acquired via trade from the New Orleans Saints, recording 31 total tackles and an interception. The move will save the team over $18 million in salary cap space.

(Kansas City, MO) — The Chiefs are creating more salary cap space by moving on from another veteran. ESPN reports that Kansas City informed right tackle Jawaan Taylor that, barring a trade, he will be released before the start of the NFL’s new league year. The move will save the team 20-million-dollars against the salary cap and allow them to be under the cap when the league year begins March 11th. The 28-year-old had one year remaining on a four-year, 80-million-dollar deal that he signed in 2023. The Chiefs entered the offseason more than 57-million-dollars over the cap.

(Cincinnati, OH) — The Bengals are bringing back one of their offensive linemen. ESPN reports the team re-signed Dalton Risner [[ RISE-ner ]] on Monday to a one-year deal worth up to five-million dollars. He started nine games at right guard last season and ranked well in pass blocking statistics. Risner was originally taken by the Broncos in the second round of the 2019 draft.

(Cleveland, OH) — The Browns are fortifying their offensive line. ESPN reports the team acquired Tytus Howard from the Texans on Monday in exchange for a fifth-round pick. He’ll get a new two-year, 45-million dollar deal as a result. Howard started games at right tackle, right guard and left tackle last season. The 29-year-old spent his entire seven-year career with Houston.

(Washington, DC) — Wizards guard Trae Young will make his team debut in Thursday’s home game against the Utah Jazz. Coach Brian Keefe said that he will play 17 to 20 minutes in the contest. The Wizards acquired Young from the Atlanta Hawks in January, but he has not seen the floor due to MCL and quad injuries. Young has averaged 19.3 points and 8.9 assists in 10 games so far this season.

(Undated) — The top three of the latest men’s college basketball coaches poll remains the same. Duke is once again leading the nation followed by Arizona and Michigan. UConn and Florida are up two spots to round out the top five. Houston, Iowa State, Michigan State, Nebraska and Texas Tech make up the remainder of the top 10. Saint Mary’s is number 21 and Miami is 23rd after not being included in last week’s poll. Louisville and BYU are out of the top 25.

>>World Baseball Classic Starts Today (Tuesday)

(Undated) — The baseball season kicks off early with an international tournament. The World Baseball Classic returns for the first time since 2023 when Japan took down the United States in the championship. Exhibition games begin today (Tuesday) while pool play gets started tomorrow. America is in the Houston group with Mexico, Italy and Great Britain. Brazil is also in the group, which will face the Stars and Stripes to open pool play on Friday.
