
The White County Historical Society is inviting the public to “A Dinner with History,” an evening of delicious food and historical insight scheduled for Monday, March 9th at 6:00 p.m. The event will be held at the First Christian Church in Carmi.
Southern Illinois author and historian Todd Carr will headline the evening, presenting his talk, “John Crenshaw & The Old Slave House.” The presentation promises to offer a fascinating look at one of the region’s most notable and controversial historical figures and landmarks.
Dinner will be catered by Yesterday’s and is priced at $20 per plate. The menu includes lasagna, chicken parmesan, fettuccine alfredo, green beans, Italian salad, breadsticks, and a selection of desserts. Advance reservations and payment are required to attend.
