On Tuesday, the Black Diamond Conference-East announced the members of its Girls All-Conference Basketball Team. Three Fairfield Lady Mules players: Riley Jolly, Mabrey Foster, and Kenry Hutchcraft were named to the team. Four Edwards County Lady Lions: Alice Robb, Grace McCarty, Lola Nussmeyer, and Grace Bishop were also named to the team, with Grace Bishop being named MVP.

Collin Sexton led Chicago with 20 points off the bench in the losing effort, while Guerschon Yabusele finished with 18 points and 12 rebounds. The Bulls are in 12th place in the Eastern Conference at 25-and-37. They visit the Suns tomorrow night.

The Chicago Blackhawks fell apart in the closing minutes of a 3-2 overtime loss to the Winnipeg Jets at Canada Life Center. The Blackhawks gave up a game-tying goal with under a minute left in regulation before surrendering the game-winner in the third minute of OT. Teuvo Teravainen and Ryan Greene both scored in the losing effort. The Hawks are in seventh place in the Central Division with 56 points. Chicago hosts Vancouver on Friday.

The number-11 Illinois Fighting Illini blew out the Oregon Ducks 80-54 at State Farm Center. The Illini raced out to a 41-21 halftime lead and were able to coast to victory in the second half. Andrej Stojakovic poured in 21 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in the victory. Illinois improved to 14-and-5 in Big Ten play and 23-and-7 overall. The Illini visit Maryland on Sunday.

(Glendale, AZ) — The Arizona Cardinals are parting ways with quarterback Kyler Murray. Arizona informed the QB they intend to release him on the first day of the league year next Wednesday, unless a trade happens. Murray is owed almost 37-million dollars by the team this year. The QB took to X following the news, thanking those who supported him and saying he was prepared for whatever is next, adding that he feels his “best ball” is in front of him, and he looks forward to proving it.

ESPN is reporting that Chicago center Drew Dalman has informed the team of his decision to retire from the NFL. The 27-year-old is calling it a career after five seasons and less than one year after inking a three-year, 42-million-dollar deal with the team. The 2021 fourth-round pick out of Stanford spent his first four seasons with the Atlanta Falcons, where he started 40 games. He was selected to his first career Pro Bowl this past season.

(New York, NY) — The Atlanta Falcons will be the designated home team for the NFL’s game in Madrid this upcoming season. The Madrid game will be one of a record nine international games the league will play in 2026. The games will span seven countries, four continents and eight stadiums. Other cities hosting games include London, Melbourne, Mexico City, Munich, Paris and Rio de Janeiro. The full 2026 NFL schedule will be released later this spring.

The 33-year-old was suspended for 80 games last season after signing a three-year deal with Atlanta. He earned a Silver Slugger as an outfielder with the Padres in 2024.

(Surprise, AZ) — The Royals are adding a two-time All-Star to the roster. Kansas City is signing outfielder Starling Marte [[ MAR-tay ]] to a one-year, one-million-dollar deal for the upcoming season. The 37-year-old can earn up to two-million-dollars in roster and performance bonuses. Marte is a two-time Gold Glove winner that has hit .285 with 163 home runs, 667 RBIs and 361 stolen bases over 14 seasons spent with the Pirates, Diamondbacks, Marlins, Athletics and Mets.

(Undated) — The World Baseball Classic is here. The first game of the international tournament takes place today (Wednesday) between Chinese Taipei and Australia from Tokyo. Pool play continues on Thursday while the United States begins its quest for the championship on Friday against Brazil. Mexico, Italy and Great Britain are also in America’s group.

(New York, NY) — The Rangers are dealing with a banged up captain with the trade deadline fast approaching. The Blueshirts placed forward JT Miller on injured reserve Tuesday with an upper body injury. It is unclear when he sustained the injury, but it is not related to something he suffered earlier in the season. New York has dropped six of its last seven games and will host the Toronto Maple Leafs on Thursday at Madison Square Garden.
