33-year-old Anthony Vasoli of Fairfield has been sentenced to seven years in prison after his probation for burglarizing and vandalizing the Fairfield Light Plant was revoked in Wayne County Circuit Court on Thursday. Vasoli was originally given four years of probation for his role in the incident, which caused significant damage and resulted in an oil leak at the facility.

His probation was revoked following a recent arrest for armed robbery. In addition to his prison term, Vasoli is required to pay $636,874 in restitution for damages to the plant. After serving his sentence, he will also be subject to one year of parole.
