Showers and thunderstorms are in the forecast for the area today and again toward the middle of next week. Temperatures are expected to be closer to normal by midweek next week after running above normal today and again early next week. More thunderstorms are also expected towards the middle of next week.
The area has received significant rainfall this week, which has helped alleviate the drought conditions. Extended forecasts are showing a chance of above normal temperatures returning for the six to ten day outlook and above normal precipitation. The 8 to 14 day outlook is showing some cooler conditions possible, along with above normal precipitation continuing. The latest three to four week outlook, running from March 21st through April 3rd, shows near normal temperatures and above normal precipitation expected.
