Fairfield Public School District #112 has announced that Kindergarten Pre-Registration will take place at North Side School on Tuesday, March 17th and Wednesday, March 18th from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. This event is designed for families whose children will be entering kindergarten at North Side School in the fall of 2026. No appointments are necessary for registration.
Parents and guardians are reminded that if their child is already attending Pre-K at North Side School, they do not need to attend pre-registration. Instead, a registration packet will be sent home with current North Side Pre-K students.
To be eligible for kindergarten, children must be five years old by September 1, 2026. Families will need to bring a certified birth certificate (not hospital issued), an immunization record including a lead screening, and proof of residence at the time of registration. If the child has had a physical exam within the past year, parents are asked to provide a copy. The school nurse will be present to answer questions regarding immunization and requirements for medical, dental, and vision examinations. Health, dental, and vision forms are available at the school and at local providers’ offices. The required physical examination must be completed prior to the start of the school year in August 2026.
District officials urge families to register their kindergarten-eligible children on March 17th or March 18th to ensure adequate preparation and ordering of supplies and materials for the upcoming school year.
