On Tuesday, March 10th Fairfield Police Chief, Ben Lewis released a summary of the Fairfield Police Department’s activity in the month of February.

Wayne County 911, operated through the Fairfield Police Department Dispatch Center, processed 2,327 phone calls during February 2026. This in turn generated approximately 938 calls for service:
656 = Law Enforcement (all agencies)
185 = EMS (all agencies)
102 = Fire Service (all agencies)
Fairfield Police Department Patrol activities
401 = calls for service
7 = arrests
3 = criminal citations
81 = traffic stops
19 = traffic citations.
Chief Lewis stated that he was very grateful for the effort that the Officers and Dispatchers put into serving this community.
As demonstrated in the above numbers there is a lot for the emergency services to do in order to keep our community safe and secure.
