On Thursday, March 12th at approximately 8:13 a.m., the Fairfield Fire Department responded to a report of a shed on fire at 520 NW 7th Street.
The first unit arrived within 2 minutes to find heavy smoke coming from a storage shed located behind a single-wide trailer at the address. One handline was placed into service and firefighters began extinguishing the fire. The fire was brought under control in under 5 minutes. Overhaul was performed to ensure that the fire was extinguished. At this time, the fire appears to be accidental in nature.
The Fairfield Fire Department was assisted by the Fairfield Rural Fire Protection District, Wayne County EMS, the Fairfield Police Department, and Wayne County 911.
There were no injuries reported and all units had cleared the scene by 9:00 a.m.
