Multiple emergency agencies, including the Fairfield Rural Fire Department, Wayne County Ambulance, Illinois State Police (ISP) Troop 9, and the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department, responded to an incident on I-64 westbound near milepost 114, just east of US-45, in the early Thursday morning.
Authorities say at approximately 2:21am, a truck-tractor semi-trailer was reported in the median. Authorities confirmed that the vehicle did not crash, and the driver requested a tow truck for a pullout.
Westbound traffic was briefly blocked during the recovery operation, but no injuries were reported.
