The Edwards County FFA recently reached a new milestone by competing for the first time at the state level in the Meats Career Development Event (CDE). Team members Cheyenne Duncan, Cody Greathouse, and Quentin Pike represented Edwards County in this rigorous competition.
During the event, participants were tasked with grading rings of beef carcasses for both quality and yield, identifying various retail cuts of meat, and solving a ground meat formulation problem. Both Cheyenne Duncan and Cody Greathouse earned a red rating for their efforts.
Congratulations to all the team members for their hard work and achievement.
