The Edwards County Community Unit School District No. 1 Board of Education will hold its regular board meeting tonight (Monday) at 7:00 p.m. in the K-12 Band/Music Room. The meeting, called by Board President Dale Woods, will address a range of important topics impacting the district’s students, staff, and facilities.

The agenda includes approval of previous meeting minutes, the treasurer’s report, and monthly bills. The board will also consider the destruction of closed session audio recordings as required by code.

Public participation and communications from the community will be welcomed, and a spotlight segment will highlight achievements in the district.

Key items up for discussion and possible action include the second reading of ECHS curriculum resources, approval of organizational memberships for the 2026-2027 school year, and several student trips that exceed 150 miles, such as AGS 8th Grade’s trip to St. Louis and Junior High Band & Choir’s visit to Holiday World.

Facility upgrades are also on the agenda, with motions to approve projects over $5,000, including new partitions and restroom flooring at ECHS. The board will review a mutual agreement with the Albion Baseball Association and consider the Ohio and Wabash Valley Regional Vocational System Intergovernmental Agreement and policies.

Other topics for discussion include the ECHS Athletic Hall of Fame, approval of golf and baseball camps, and detailed administrative reports on cafeteria operations, sales tax, and the upcoming 2026-2027 school calendar. Graduation ceremonies for all schools are scheduled for May 16.

Personnel matters—including resignations, employment for the next school year, and volunteer appointments—will be addressed, followed by a closed session to discuss employee and student discipline issues.

The meeting will conclude with open discussions and a motion to establish administrative salaries for 2026-2027.

The public is encouraged to attend.
