The Edwards County High School’s Music Department is inviting the community to take part in their 35th annual Dinner Theater, “Broadway Hits,” set for Thursday through Sunday in the ECHS gymnasium.
The tradition will feature performances from the Show Choir and Combo, as well as full sets by the band and choir. This year’s theme brings musical favorites from legendary Broadway shows such as Annie, Chicago, Bye Bye Birdie, The Music Man, The Pajama Game, and more. Students and staff have been hard at work to ensure another unforgettable production for their loyal audience.
Behind the scenes, dedicated parents and volunteers are busy preparing elaborate decorations and a delicious menu for the dinner portion of the event. The festivities kick off this Thursday, March 19th with a “show-only” evening. Admission is a suggested $5 donation at the door, with seating available on a first-come, first-served basis. Pre-concert music will begin around 6 p.m., and the main show will start between 7:45 and 8 p.m.
The highlight dinner and show events are scheduled for Friday, March 20th and Saturday, March 21st, with tickets limited to 300 per night. Doors open for seating at approximately 5:45 p.m., with dinner music beginning soon after 6 p.m. and the meal served at 6:30 p.m.
The weekend concludes with a Sunday matinee on March 22nd at 2 p.m., featuring appetizer and dessert service during the performance.
