19-year-old, Remington Dalton of Fairfield was sentenced Tuesday in Wayne County Circuit Court by Judge Denton Aud to nine and a half years in the Illinois Department of Corrections for Criminal Sexual Assault, a Class 1 felony. The offense occurred on April 13, 2025.
Upon release from prison, Dalton will be required to serve three years to life on mandatory supervised release. He was given credit for five days already served in custody.
