The latest Tractor and Combine Report from the Association of Equipment Manufacturers, released last Tuesday, indicates continued weakness in the agricultural equipment market as 2026 begins.
In February, total U.S. farm tractor sales fell 12.2% year-over-year, with 9,804 units sold compared to 11,167 in the same month last year. Four-wheel drive tractors were the only category to see growth, rising 11.3% from last February.
Combine sales also declined 12.6% for the month, dropping to 159 units from 182 in February 2025. Despite this monthly dip, year-to-date combine sales are up 15.4%, pointing to ongoing demand for greater harvesting efficiency and advanced technology in farming equipment.
