69-year-old David E. Collins of Albion has been charged in Edwards County with failure to report weekly and failure to have a fixed address, both violations of the Illinois Sex Offender Registry Act. The charges are classified as a Class 3 felony.
Collins was arrested for the offenses but has since been released under pretrial conditions. According to court records, Collins’ original conviction involved a 13-year-old victim when he was 53 years old.
A preliminary hearing in the case is scheduled for April 24th in Edwards County Circuit Court.
