The National Weather Service has forecasted a noticeable change for today (Monday), as cooler air settles in behind a passing front. Daytime highs are expected to reach only the mid-50s, despite mainly sunny skies and just a few afternoon clouds.
As the week progresses, temperatures will gradually recover. On Tuesday, clouds are likely in the morning before giving way to partly cloudy skies, with highs climbing into the low 60s.
A rapid warm-up is in store for Wednesday, with temperatures rebounding into the mid-70s under partly cloudy conditions. By Thursday, the area will experience a taste of summer, as highs soar into the mid-80s under mostly sunny skies—potentially challenging previous record temperatures.
However, another cold front is expected to arrive Thursday night, bringing a chance for showers and storms and setting the stage for another significant cool-down as the week draws to a close.
