Michael D. Collard, 78, of Danville, IL passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at Wabash Senior Living and Rehab in Carmi. He was born on April 11, 1947 in Grayville the son of Charles and Norma (Mason) Collard. Michael married Judy Ann (Taylor) Bartley in June of 1993 and they shared over 32 years of marriage together. He was a member of the Second Church of Christ in Danville. Michael was a 1966 graduate of Grayville High School. After, graduation, Michael began a career in truck driving. He had worked for Baker Service Co and Halliburton and retired from McLean. He also loved to spend his summers in Canada on the lake fishing and camping.
Michael is survived by his wife, Judy Ann Collard; children, Sheila (Layne) Kihn of Haubstadt, IN and Dennis Bartley of Danville, IL; grandchildren, Kaleb Collard, Kelsie Collard, Jordan Brown, Kody Brown, and Dennis Michael Bartley; thirteen great-grandchildren; and a brother, Jim Collard of Grayville, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael E. Collard; siblings, Thomas Collard, Larry Collard, Reba Lindsey, and Linda Mann.
Funeral services for Michael D. Collard, 78, of Danville, IL will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Grayville, IL. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Michael’s memory to the Second Church of Christ, 3350 E. Voorhees St., Danville, IL 61834 and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home, 609 W. Main St., Carmi, IL 62821.
