Fire crews responded to a structure fire Monday morning at the residence of Jorge Munoz, located at 1044 County Highway 1 (Enterprise Road) north of Fairfield. The incident occurred just before 9:30 a.m.
According to Fairfield Rural Fire Chief David Vaughan, the fire originated on the back porch, then spread up a wall and into the attic, causing severe damage to the house. Thankfully, no injuries were reported.
The Fairfield Rural Fire Department was assisted at the scene by the Fairfield City Fire Department, while Wayne City sent a tanker to provide station coverage. Wayne County Ambulance was also on standby during the emergency response.
