The annual Edwards County Farm Bureau Young Leaders Scholarship Trap Shoot, postponed earlier this month due to rain, raised more than $4,300 for the Young Leader scholarship fund. Of that total, $4,000 will be awarded to incoming freshmen or sophomore college students this spring.
“One hundred percent of the funds raised at the trap shoot go into our scholarship fund,” said Ragan Anthis, chairman of the Edwards County Farm Bureau Young Leaders. “We are extremely grateful to our sponsors, participants, and the Edwards County Sportsman’s Club for helping make this event a success.”
Sponsors for the 2026 event included Albion Equipment, Wabash Valley Service Company, Steve Thomson- COUNTRY Financial, Nutrien Ag Solutions, Anthis Equipment, Shepherd Ag Solutions, Greathouse Grazing Acres, FBFM, Kelli Savage- COUNTRY Financial, Metcalf Custom Applicating, Ag Dash, Michelle Keyser, Bungee, Channel Seed, and Remington Seeds.
