On Thursday in Wayne County Circuit Court, Lake Bittles, 24, of Sims, admitted to violating a previous two-year probation order stemming from a 2023 charge of Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine. Judge Matt Vaughn sentenced Bittles to two years in the Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC). He is already serving time in IDOC on a separate Fayette County case; the new Wayne County sentence will run concurrently with his existing sentence. As part of a plea agreement, one case number was dismissed.
In a separate case, Holly Kessler, 37, of Louisville, pled guilty to Disorderly Conduct, a Class C misdemeanor. She was placed on one year of court supervision and ordered to pay court costs. Per the plea agreement, one count of Resisting was dismissed
