Fairfield Memorial Hospital is pleased to announce the addition of Connie Henshaw, Advanced Practice Nurse (APN), Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), to its healthcare team as a Hospitalist. Henshaw will provide care to patients in the Med/Surg ICU Department, enhancing the hospital’s commitment to high-quality inpatient care.
Henshaw is board-certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and brings a wealth of experience in acute care, critical care, and emergency nursing. In her role as Hospitalist, she will work closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care for patients with complex medical needs.
She earned her Master of Science as a Family Nurse Practitioner and a Master of Business Administration with a focus in Healthcare from the University of Southern Indiana. With more than a decade of diverse healthcare experience, Henshaw has previously served as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Ferrell Hospital and has held roles as a Nurse Case Manager, Clinical Supervisor, and Registered Nurse in emergency and intensive care settings.
Throughout her career, Henshaw has demonstrated dedication to patient advocacy, clinical excellence, and compassionate care. Her expertise includes disease management, diagnostic interpretation, treatment planning, and care coordination for patients with both acute and chronic conditions.
The FMH Hospitalist Nurse Practitioners are supervised by Dr. Kyle Kakac, Medical Director of the Hospital Medicine Service. Dr. Kakac provides 24/7 remote medical directorship, onsite monthly visits, and ongoing collaboration with midlevel providers across Fairfield Memorial Hospital and affiliated clinics.
