Juanita Mae Beckwith, 89 of McLeansboro, IL passed away Saturday, March 28, 2026 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Mt. Vernon, IL.
Juanita was born in Obi, New York on July 2, 1936 to Clark David Beckwith and Florence (Davidson) Beckwith.
She was a soil tester for 20 years and secretary for the State of Illinois, Times Leader and the St. Clements Church for many years. She worked as a secretary in the basement of the court house for the extension office. Juanita loved to quilt, garden and spend time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great great grand child.
Survivors include her son David Beckwith, McLeansboro, IL. a daughter Lisa Webb, Macedonia, IL. and step daughters Julie Clevenger and husband Dick, McLeansboro and Jody Boles and husband Daniel, Champaign, IL.
She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and three sisters and a step daughter, Phyllis Bowman.
Memorials are requested for St. Jude Children’s Research.
Visitation for Juanita Beckwith will be from 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m., Monday, April 6, 2026 at Harre Funeral Home, McLeansboro with a Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. Father Thomas Barrett officiant. No burial of ashes is planned at this time.
