Illinois Honoring Every ISP Trooper Killed In Line Of Duty

(Springfield, IL) — The state of Illinois will be honoring every Illinois State Police Officer killed in the line of duty. Over the next several months, IDOT and the Illinois Tollway will erect signs for all fallen ISP Officers. The new signs will be standardized for a uniform look. Since the agency began providing services on April 1st, 1922, 73 ISP Officers have died in the line of duty.

 

Bears Chairman: Moving To Indiana Isn’t Going To Matter To Fans

(Phoenix, AZ) — Bears chairman George McCaskey doesn’t believe moving the team to Indiana will push fans away. Speaking at the NFL annual meeting yesterday in Phoenix, McCaskey said “I don’t think, in the end, it’s going to matter to people,” citing the Giants and Jets relocation to New Jersey. The team chair said whether they go to Arlington Park or to Hammond, there is going to be an adjustment period, but he thinks “Bears fans are up to it.” Team President Kevin Warren has set a tentative timeline for a stadium decision of late spring or early summer.

 

Kameron Marlowe and Ashley Cooke To Headline Du Quoin State Fair

(Du Quoin, IL) — Rising country stars Kameron Marlowe and Ashley Cooke will be co-headlining at this year’s Du Quoin State Fair. Both will be performing on the Grandstand stage on August 30th. Marlowe first gained attention with his self-penned single “Giving You Up.” Cooke earned national attention after releasing her debut album “shot in the dark” and winning the Breakthrough Female Video of the Year at the CMT Music Awards in 2024. The Du Quoin State Fair runs from August 28th to September 7th.
