The Edwards County Fair Board has received a generous $10,000 donation from CountryMark SynEnergy to help fund the installation of new infield seating at the fairgrounds. The new bleachers, which were purchased at auction from the Olney school district, became available following Olney’s extensive renovation of its district sports complex.
The upgraded seating will be in place for the 2026 Edwards County Fair, scheduled to run from July 22nd to August 1st. This year’s fair promises a full lineup of events, including harness racing on July 26th, rodeo action on July 27th, Dirt Track Figure 8 racing on July 28th, Donkeyball on July 29th, a truck and tractor pull on July 30th, motocross on July 31st, and the popular demolition derby on August 1st.
The Fair Board expressed gratitude for CountryMark SynEnergy’s support, noting that the donation will significantly improve the fair experience for those attending.
