Carmi-White County High School officials are prioritizing safety after graffiti referencing a possible future threat of violence was discovered in a school restroom on Tuesday, April 7th. The incident was promptly reported to school administration and the School Resource Officer.
Carmi-White County CUSD #5 immediately began working with law enforcement to assess and investigate the situation. Following a thorough investigation, authorities determined that there is no active threat to students, staff, or the community. As a result, regular school activities will continue as planned.
To further protect students and provide reassurance to families, Carmi-White County High School will see increased law enforcement presence and additional security measures during school hours and events.
