Summer is just around the corner, and Girl Scouts of Southern Illinois are gearing up for another unforgettable season of camp adventures. With a variety of day and overnight camp options, girls across the region have the chance to spark new friendships, take on exciting challenges, and create memories that will last a lifetime. Campers are encouraged to try new activities, discover their strengths, and build the confidence that will serve them well into the future.
Registration for summer camp sessions is now open, offering a wide selection of day camps organized by dedicated volunteers throughout Southern Illinois. For those seeking an overnight experience, most sessions will be held at Camp Torqua in Edwardsville. Additional adventures include an older girl expedition canoeing the Meramec River and a horseback riding camp in partnership with Greenville University. This year, new family camp opportunities are also available. Girls who are not yet Girl Scouts can join now through an extended membership, giving them access to all the summer camp fun and a seamless transition into troop activities in the fall. Detailed information about each camp session, including descriptions, costs, and registration, can be found at gsofsi.org/summercamp. Space is limited, and registration deadlines are quickly approaching. Opportunity Funds are available to help make camp accessible for all.
