The Wayne County Board will hold its regular monthly meeting tonight (Thursday) at 7:00 p.m. The meeting will take place in the upstairs courtroom of the Wayne County Courthouse. The agenda includes approval of the March meeting minutes, public comment, and appearances from representatives of the Wayne County Extension Office—Tara Buerster, Kate Bell, and Ryan Littlejohn—as well as Michelle Scott of CASA.
In Chairman’s comments and appointments, Nichole Schoenborn of the Wayne County Health Department is requesting the re-appointment of Tom Taylor to the Board for a three-year term. The Wayne County 911 Authority Board is seeking appointments of Nate Burgess (EMS representative), Keith Colclasure (law enforcement), and Norman McKinney (citizen at large) to serve four-year terms.
Office reports will be presented by the Highway Department—including approval of an engineering agreement for Bedford 26-03122-00-BR—the State’s Attorney, Circuit Clerk, Sheriff, County Clerk, Treasurer, Supervisor of Assessments, Coroner, and Health Department. New business will include an executive session focused on personnel matters, including discussion and a potential motion regarding salaries of elected officials for the next four years. Committee reports will be given from Claims/Finance, Sheriff, EMA, Animal Control/Welfare, Road and Bridge, Insurance/Education, Building & Grounds/Safety, Economic Development, Rules & Policy, and the Liquor Commission.
