Fairfield City Council to Meet For Regular Meeting on April 14th

The Fairfield City Council will hold its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, April 14 at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Fairfield City Hall.
The meeting will begin with an opening prayer, the Pledge of Allegiance, roll call, approval of the March 10th meeting minutes, and approval of bills. Public comments will be heard before the council moves on to routine business.
Highlights of the agenda include a special presentation by CASA for Kids, the Court Appointed Special Advocates program. The council is also set to consider a resolution to appropriate Motor Fuel Tax funds for general maintenance and to award bids for several street improvement projects, including SW 7th St., NW 9th St., Lakeview Dr., and North First Street.
Additionally, the council will review a street closing request for the Wayne County Farm to Table event, scheduled for Tuesday, September 15th, on SE 2nd Street. Other business items include a resolution approving a revolving loan for Christina Copeland, doing business as Grace & Bloom, and presentations regarding a business tax request from Andrew Gifford and a revolving loan request from Moore Graphics.
A recreation fund expenditure request and a financial report are also on the agenda. The meeting may conclude with an executive session before adjournment.
