Lenard (Lenny) Taylor passed from this life to Heaven, into his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ’s arms, on April 11, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Lenard was born January 30. 1948, in Mt. Carmel, Illinois, to Hal and Sylvia (Hickling) Taylor. He grew up in Grayville, Illinois, graduating from Grayville High School in 1966. At a young age, Lenny started working at his dad’s Minneapolis Moline dealership, Tri-County Implement Company, in Grayville, Illinois. He later attended Wabash Valley College and graduated with an Associates of Arts degree in Agriculture. He retired from a 46-year career with Mclean Implement, Inc., a John Deere dealership, in Albion and four other locations.
Lenard was a quiet man but had a deep faith in God. He dearly loved being with his family. He gave his heart to the beloved House of Prayer in Albion where he served as a deacon for 30 years. He lived his life serving God, family, and others. He loved music in school and was the Sound Man at the house of Prayer for many years. He faithfully watched and was closely involved with Hagee Ministries in San Antonio, Texas, in his later years.
Lenard leaves behind his loving wife of nearly 43 years, Patsy (Brock) Taylor; son, Scott Taylor, Brother-in-law, Roy (JoAnn) Brock; nieces, Shelly Brock and Kris Brock; two great nieces and a great nephew. He also leaves behind many good friends, neighbors, acquaintances, and a special family whom he loved so dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hal and Sylvia Taylor; parents-in-law, Verdane and Lois Brock; and a brother, Robert Taylor.
Private services will be held to honor Lenard’s life.
Memorials may be made to Sanctuary of Hope, a faith-based facility that seeks to provide a caring and nurturing home to single expectant mothers, Hagee Ministries.
