(Champaign, IL) — The Illinois Fighting Illini have lost their best basketball player. Guard Keaton Wagler declared for the NBA Draft over the weekend. Wagler is projected to be a top-ten pick in the draft this June. He averaged 17-point-nine points and five-point-one rebounds in 37 games for the Illini this past season.

(Atlanta, GA) — The Falcons are making a decision on their best player. The team picked up Bijan Robinson’s fifth-year option on Friday. ESPN reports the option is a “formality” and the team is expected to reach a long-term extension this offseason. Robinson was taken eighth-overall in the 2023 draft.

Tyrrell Hatton, Russell Henley, Justin Rose and Cameron Young finished third at 10 under.

(Bristol, TN) — Ty Gibbs is taking home the checkered flag in the Food City 500 from Bristol Motor Speedway. The driver of the Number-54 car held off Ryan Blaney in overtime to secure the victory. Kyle Larson, Tyler Reddick and Chase Briscoe rounded out the top-five finishers from Tennessee. The NASCAR Cup Series field heads to Kansas Speedway next Sunday for the Advent Health 400.

(Las Vegas, NV) — The Denver men’s hockey team won their third national championship in five seasons, beating Wisconsin 2-1 on Saturday in Las Vegas. Vasily Zelenov gave the Badgers a first period lead, but Rieger Lorenz and Kyle Chyzowski both lit the lamp in the third period to give the Pioneers their 11th title in program history. DU goalie Johnny Hicks was named Frozen Four Most Outstanding Player after he stopped 78 of the 82 shots he faced, including stopping 30 of 31 shots in the championship game.
