Nettie Bayler, 88 of McLeansboro, IL. passed away Friday, April 10, 2026 at Silver Foxes Nursing Home and Rehab, McLeansboro.
Nettie was born July 30 1937 in Thackeray, IL, to Walter Ledford and Frieda (Tittle) Ledford. On April 4, 1963 she married Harold Bayler in the Concord Church and he survives.
Nettie was a bank teller for the Hamilton County Bank and Banterra Bank. She was a member of Webbs Chapel Church. She also loved quilting and scrapbooking but most of all she loved visiting with her grand and great grandchildren.
Nettie is survived by her husband Harold, a son Larry Bayler and wife Teresa, Broughton, IL. Also surviving are grandchildren, Zackery Bayler and wife Cady and Shelby White and husband Dylan along with her great grandchildren, Zoe Bayler, Zane Bayler and Daisy White.
Nettie is preceded in death by her parents, sons Michael David Bayler and wife Sharon and Darrell Wayne Bayler, sisters Norma Hart and husband Evan and Doris Stinson and husband Harold and brothers Clayton Ledford and wife Mary and Keith Ledford.
Visitation for Nettie Bayler will be from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2026 with funeral services to follow at 1:00 p.m. at Harre Funeral Home, McLeansboro with Pastor Chris Marsh officiating. Burial will follow the funeral service at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in McLeansboro.
The family has requested memorials be given to Hamilton County Historical Society and left at the funeral Home.
