NEW HOPE GRADE SCHOOL BOARD TO ADDRESS STAFFING, BUILDING UPDATES, AND UPCOMING EVENTS AT TUESDAY MEETING

The New Hope Community Consolidated School District (CCSD) Board of Education will hold its regular meeting on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.
The meeting will begin with roll call, followed by approval of the consent agenda, which includes minutes from the March 18th meeting, the treasurer’s report, and bills. Visitors will have the opportunity to address the board, with T.J. Vaughan scheduled to speak.
Board President and committee reports will be presented, and Superintendent updates will cover ongoing maintenance and building projects, kindergarten registration, recent FOIA requests, and statements of economic interest. The Superintendent will also discuss several upcoming events:

3rd–5th Grade Spring Musical on April 24 at 6:00 p.m. (Frontier Community College)
Vespers on May 3rd at 2:00 p.m. (Center Street)
Spring Concert on May 7th at 6:00 p.m. (New Hope School)
Sports Banquet on May 13th at 6:00 p.m.
Academic Awards on May 14th at 2:00 p.m.
Graduation on May 15th at 6:00 p.m.

In new business, the board will conduct a first reading of Board Policy Update Issue 121 and vote on motions to set dates, times, and locations for upcoming meetings, appoint a WOVSED delegate, approve an HVAC replacement bid (Phase 3), renew IESA membership for 2026-2027, approve the consolidated district plan, and approve a dairy bid.
The board will also make several personnel decisions, including re-hiring Shawna Weber as a teacher, hiring an additional elementary teacher, and appointing Amanda Cates as assistant cheer coach, Adam Book as head basketball coach, and Robert Bridgeman as head baseball coach.
An executive session is scheduled to discuss personnel performance, hiring, compensation, student discipline, and individual student matters. The board retains the right to revert to prior order before adjourning the meeting.
